SMaRT specialises in developing test methods and techniques for non-standard specimens. We can design and manufacture fixtures and fittings on site to meet the individual needs of our customers. The facility includes tooling which is capable of machining high temperature alloys that are required to enable SMaRT to push the test temperature envelope ever higher.
Our dedicated team of workshop technicians are extremely knowledgeable in the both the design and manufacture of parts. They have extensive experience of machining notoriously difficult materials for high temperature applications such as Nimonic 90 and single crystal alloys.
SMaRT are also able to offer machining of test specimens in our on-site mechanical workshop. This offers efficiency improvements to test campaigns, as specimens can go on test as soon as they are produced, rather than waiting for them all to be machined and then sent from the manufacturer to the test house.
